Clearly Basics is a skincare line designed for acne-prone and sensitive skin. Every product in the lineup has been thoughtfully created to work together with little overlap in active ingredients.  

Clearly Basics is effective. Every product in the Clearly Basics lineup uses medical-grade ingredients which ensure the purity and potency (and ultimately, the effectiveness) of the formulation. Most of our products use multiple active ingredients. When mixed in the right percentages, these ingredients amplify each other's effectiveness. Our pharmacists then boost the formulations with botanicals, which are very effective in minimizing any potential irritation. 

We've also kept the Clearly routine pretty simple and, on most days, you might find you don’t need much else. 

From our gentle cleansers to our nourishing moisturizers, all Clearly Basics products are safe to use with each other. In order to simplify your skincare routine, we’ve carefully blended multiple active ingredients into each formulation so that they work together to address multiple skin concerns - all while being kind to sensitive skin.  

However, between Clear Out and Clear Out Extra Strength, you only need to use one. They serve the same purpose of flushing out clogs and making skin less acne-prone, with Clear Out Extra Strength being a more powerful formulation for stubborn acne. 

Our formulations are truly best-in-class, seriously effective, and gentle to skin. Many have called our products game-changers and many more have seen results with our line-up when nothing else had worked before. However, everyone’s skin is different and individual results may vary. We recommend sticking to your Clearly routine for at least 3 months before making a decision as to its effectiveness. Lasting change takes time and patience.
